Anonymous asked: Do you have any tips for animating quadrupeds and creatures with more than 2 legs?

To be honest, I don’t have any experience with quadrupeds and/or creatures with more than 2 legs.  If I need to use these types of rigs, I would start by looking at references.  References are key in the beginning of any animation.  Look at YouTube, Vimeo, etc to get a variety of different shots with the animal that you are animating.  If you are animating a creature that doesn’t exist, try thinking about how you want that creature to move, then find an animal that moves similarly.  Also, don’t forget about the zoo.  You could sit for hours just watching and drawing the animals and picking up on their mannerisms that will make your animation more lifelike.  Let me know if this helps.  Click on the post and place a comment at the bottom in the Disqus form with any follow up questions you might have.
